Birthday Board Book
Here is a peek at the Birthday Board Book I am teaching tomorrow night at Chasing Rainbows. Just so happens that Kary at Allyscraps also challenged us to making a mini book for our bi-weekly challenge so I get to kill two birds with one stone so to speak. No pictures yet. Still not sure if it will be a gift of if I will just keep it for myself! lol

A Few of My Favorite Things
So this was for a Book of Me challenge over at AllyScraps. A few of MY favorite things are:
Peonies, Butterflies, Fireflies
Driving on the highway with the music up
The little chirpie sound our birdies make
Watching the birds eat outside the kitchen window while have coffee with Nana
Sleeping in clean sheets
The first cup of coffee in the morning
The way Autumn tries to wake me up with her whiskers
Sunsets
Staying up really late and sleeping in really late (I get to do this a LOT! lol)
Scrapbooking
Meeting new people
Anything that makes me see something in a new way or think differently about something
many, many more!
So, what are some of YOUR favorite things?
I did this layout about Marcee and I's friendship but to be quite honest I have lots of friends like this, that I can tell anything to. If you know me, you know that I am VERY upfront about, well ANYTHING really. I learned long ago that if you tell on yourself then the gossip can't hurt you! LOL I don't have that kind of life anymore and I do have grown-up female friendships and I don't feel judged. In fact, most of them are usually laughing right along with me! LOL Don't you think our 3D glasses are SEXY???? ROFL!

What Kind of Soul Are YOU?

I'd say the parts that aren't ringing true may just be parts of me I don't know about yet. OR, they could be wrong. Cosmo Cricket Goodies
So I have been loving coming to my blog and seeing who has been here from the Feedjit I added down on the right. Today it said somebody from Tai Pei had been to my blog!!! AMAZING! At least to me and I am often easily amazed. How cool this whole blog thing is. Who knew? Certainly NOT me. Now I am loving the blog thing and reading others and keeping up with what is going on in other people's world and sharing my creative endeavors. I did some Cosmo Cricket layouts this week and thought I would share a couple of older ones again along with a couple of new ones. Hope your having a great weekend!

I'm teaching tomorrow night...

Mid Month Musings
Guess what? Yup, it's RAINING!!! LOL I love that it is raining every night but my tan is seriously hurting because of it, and my basement, because it is really wet and stinky now. Anyway, I have been scrapping but I don't have anything scanned yet. I finally finished all my swaps and mailed them all off on Saturday:
I mailed my Rainbow Swap stuff to Canada,
A Poppy Ink swap off to a Carolina I believe,
Music Swap to NJ,
A May Flower swap to Arkansas,
and a chipboard button swap to I-can't-remember :)
Now I have 5, yes 5, ATC swaps to get my butt on and a Inspiration swap also. I have til mid July to mail the first one so that gives me 30 days to get a crackin'! I've just become Swap-Crazy over at SIS! I should be scrapping but here I sit at the computer.
I guess that is it for tonight. I've got a big box coming from Amazon with my Dares book in it FINALLY!!! Can't WAIT to get a look at THAT! I'm off to T-Town next weekend for a little R&R from Nana and I can't wait for THAT either!!! It will be good to see my homies. Ok, I think I am going to go try to squeak out a lo before I crawl into bed so see ya'!

It's Raining...
it's pouring
AGAIN!!!
We've had lots and lots and lots of rain lately. This storm is stretching from Nebraska to Oklahoma in one big line. Supposedly the atmosphere hasn't been like this since 1974 when they had 30+ tornadoes and 22 people died. Hope that isn't the case come morning.
So I like test. Quizzes really. Not the school kind but the who-are-you kind. I get a little sick of seeing them on myspace everyday but this was a funny one so I'd thought I would share. Happy June!
I can't believe it is June already! May flew past me that is for sure. I haven't blogged in a while. Guess where I have been? READING! Yep, I said I wasn't going to do it but I did. I drove to Moline and retrieved the 3rd book from Brook. I was in a funk and I knew it would take me out of it. Unfortuantly, now that I'm done with the book I feel the funk coming on again! AAAaaarrrgghhh!!!! But I have lots to do this week so it was good that I finished reading it today. Now I just have to wait for August 2nd to get my hands on the 4th one and hopefully read about the wedding. If you're wondering what books I'm talking about then scroll down a few post and you should come across them.
I did throw my entry into a DT hat. Below is the card I made for my entry. I think tomorrow I will be sending it out to THIS GIRL to tell her I'm her secret sister. I wish I could have taken a picture of her box because it was PACKED full of goodness and I hope she likes it all. I got my box of scrappy goodies from THIS GIRL on Saturday. IF I had a camera I would show you a picture but I don't. Not yet. Soon, I can feel it!
So my word for the year was "Practice". I've really been trying to practice balance but sometimes I really am not so good at that. I mean, I can be such an all-or-nothing kind of girl. Like today, I had a ton of stuff to do, or should have dones, but instead I read all day and took a nap. I wore my pj's all day too! But, as Nana always says "they'll still be there to do tomorrow" and that is true. So I've been practicing. Practicing balance. Practicing reading and dreaming. Practicing creating. Today I even Practiced cooking! lol I'm trying to practice that more instead of eating yucky fast food. I find that I am better at that when I have a plan of what to eat. Now I can't say I'm good and put it down on paper but if I know something needs to be thawed then I have to plan ahead. I don't think we have eaten out in a little over a week so that is good. Progress, not perfection. lol So are you trying anything new lately? Are you practicing anything in your life right now, big or small?
