So I've been scrapping like a mad woman this week. Well, sort of. I'm pretty good at wasting time, especially when creating. Anyway, it's almost NSD and I've been trying to come up with a cute way to alter my event t-shirt. I'm so not a fan of the normal unisex t-shirt. Just NOT attractive on my full figure. I'm also not a fan of my chest being covered. Not that I like to let the girls hang out, I just get hot there easily and if it is warm out this weekend it will be hot upstairs. So tonight I found this great site with instructions to all KINDS of things!!! People just take pictures and post them. You know, I probably could have found a video on YouTube. Oh well. Didn't even think to look there. Google did lead me HERE and I found instructions to make a halter THIS WAY or THIS WAY. Totally cute! Last year I added some American Crafts plastic flowers with my KaJinker gun and they even lasted thru washing and drying! No melting. My t-shirt will be the envy of the crop! LOL
It's late again. I'm off to sleepy time. Goodnight! Go learn how to make something new!!!

Screeching HALT!
So that blogging roll I was on came to a screeching halt I guess! LOL The Ally Scraps Message Board got hacked and shut down for a week. I was a bit lost without my girls. We had lots of email chains going. Cathy and Austin went to work fast and got us a spiffy new board and thus we are all back together again this week.
I've been busy with transcriptions but I'm finally done with that also. Went to Tulsa and got my hair restored to its beautifully (although unnatural) shining blonde once again ;) Makes me HAPPY! And I've been gearing up for National Scrapbooking Day which is May 3rd! I should have a little RAK that day. Hmmm... Think I'll try to come up with something. I've been working on a 6x12 album and now I am doing a layout class using some cool journaling stamps from Hero Arts and then a chipboard flower mini album with some Daisy D's paper and embellies. I'm excited to finish it. Been using some cool old pics of Nana and Papa when they were young. Their story is such a great love story to me. High school sweethearts and all!
Hockey playoffs are underway and my favorite team, the Colorado Avalanche; along with my favorite player Chris Drury of the New York Rangers, have both advanced to the 2nd round. I've been out of the hockey loop for a while now. Don't find to many fans here in Kansas, so it's nice to be following them again even if it is via the internet.
Been working thru some personal emotional stuff too. It is funny how God works. I have to say that I truly love this journey of sobriety and spiritualality. I got this poem in my email this week and I can't wait to scrap it. AMAZING is all I can say:
CHRISTIANS
by Maya Angelou
'A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ
that a man should have to seek Him first to find her.'
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not shouting 'I'm clean living'
I'm whispering 'I was lost, Now I'm found and forgiven.'
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it.
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I still feel the sting of pain..
I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name.
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner Who received God's grace, somehow!
It is late and I'm off to bed. Have a great weekend everyone!

I'm on a roll...
A blogging roll that is! This week is about to get REAL busy so I thought I would pop in here and show some more layouts I have been working on. National Scrapbooking Day is fast approaching and I need to get busy on my This is ME journal. Each of the girls at Chasing Rainbows are doing a 6 x 12 album that can be purchased as a kit. I only know of 3 of the subjects for these kits: This is Me Journal, Travel & Ancestery. We are all using new yummy papers (mine is the new Sassafrass Lass!). I have transcribing to do and some hair and the allergies are a killin' me! I guess that is about it for now. Thanks for looking!

Pick of the Day
So over at Serendipity Scrapbooks the layout below was chosen for Pick of the Day!!! The pics are me when I was 5 months old. I used an old Jenni Bowlin Kit for this layout that included a Hambley Transparency and some JB chipboard. I also used lots of Prima flowers (courtesy of my scrappy gf Lori) and buttons. Enjoy!
I WON!!
So Serendipity Scrapbooks hosted a Jenni Bowlin Shabbylicious Contest and I won 1st runner up!!! WOO HOO!!! So I win some fabu JB stuff but not sure what it is yet. I'll share pics when I get it (IF I have a camera). I love this picture of Nana sitting on the shore of Lake Michigan. She was 12 years old at the time and can still tell you what her dress looked like! I know that Aunt Ruth made the dress and she was visiting her aunt & uncle from her dads side of the family. I thought it would go perfect for this contest and I got to use one of my JB kits that I like to hoard. I'd say this is probably one of my favorite LO's that I have done lately. It's fun to win and nice when others appreciate your work. Thanks Serendipity and JB!

Beans...
OH MY GOLLY GEE! I am a seriously BAD blogger! hehe First the camera broke (still don't have one) then the computer went on the fritz and then the scanner! But I am back in business yet again (well minus a camera anyway) and I have a ton of stuff to share. I have been a scrapping fool here lately. But alas, you will have to wait some more because I have transcribing to do before I can take the time to scan, sew and upload photos! I have a ton of challenges to do also and a 6 x 12 album for the lss for NSD. Are any of you getting excited for National Scrapbooking Day? I am!!! I helped Jennie (lss owner) pick out stuff for the goodie bags and g.w.p. and it was some CUTE stuff! Here is a LO I did with the new Scenic Route Grafton pp's that we just got in at the store. It is also for a challenge at AllyScraps about your favorite or not-so-favorite food. I hate beans! ALL kinds of beans: kidney beans, lima beans, chili beans, refried beans. YUCK!!! HOWEVER, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Coffee and it comes from a bean!!! I also like Green Beans and Edamame which is Soy Beans. So here is my LO about Beans...
